Title: Glitch (Goodreads)
Author: Heather Anastasiu (Website | Blog | Twitter)
Series: Glitch #1
Publisher: St. Martin's Press
Publication Date: August 7th 2012
Rating: 4.5/5 Noodles
Source: from publisher via netgalley
Purchase: Amazon | The Book Depository

From Goodreads:
In the Community, there is no more pain or war. Implanted computer chips have wiped humanity clean of destructive emotions, and thoughts are replaced by a feed from the Link network.

When Zoe starts to malfunction (or “glitch”), she suddenly begins having her own thoughts, feelings, and identity. Any anomalies must be immediately reported and repaired, but Zoe has a secret so dark it will mean certain deactivation if she is caught: her glitches have given her uncontrollable telekinetic powers.

As Zoe struggles to control her abilities and stay hidden, she meets other glitchers including Max, who can disguise his appearance, and Adrien, who has visions of the future. Both boys introduce Zoe to feelings that are entirely new. Together, this growing band of glitchers must find a way to free themselves from the controlling hands of the Community before they’re caught and deactivated, or worse.

In this action-packed debut, Glitch begins an exciting new young adult trilogy.
** A copy was provided by St. Martin's Griffin via Netgalley **

Dystopian, superpowers and love. A book full of actions, romance and twists. A book with awesome characters. A book with a great story. A book with a beautiful world-building. If you're searching for a great book, then you should read this one.

A community where secrets were forbidden. A community where people weren't capable of secrets. A community where people can't feel. It is really interesting, isn't it?

Zoe was the perfect protagonist for this book. She drives the book so well. She was really strong and she is willing to do anything for the people in community. Zoe was the character that you will be instantly connected. But there are some moments that I feel annoyed with her. The moment where she was blaming herself for Daavd. But it doesn't affect my love for this novel, haha. At first, Zoe can't control her power, but as the story goes on, she became stronger and she can now control her power.

And hello there Adrien! Adrien was the perfect love interest for Zoe. Nah, I don't like Max for her. Adrien was strong and willing to do to help Zoe and the other 'glitchers' and also the whole community. Adrien was the one who open the eyes of Zoe to see the truth about her 'perfect' community. And there was Max, the boy who was obsessed with Zoe. He wants Zoe to love him as he loves her. He was hungry for love and power. All I can say is that I HATE him! Heather Anastasiu made him perfectly annoying. XD

This book was full of actions from first page up to the last page and it was fast paced. All the twists and turns of this book made me a non-stop reader. The world was really awesome. All the creepy technologies added a beautiful touch in this novel.

Overall, the book was really enjoyable. And the book was the right kind for me. Fantasy and dystopia? Well, I'm in with that one. It was really great, but the rest of the stories were the usual dystopian. Abusive government and the protagonist will join the group of people who were against with the government. But still it was really great and it was one of my best reads so far. :D

Cover: I really loved the cover. The colors are beautiful and the typography is really awesome. 5/5 for cover ;D
My actual rating is 4.5 but I rounded it off, haha. :D

Book Review: The Loners

Quarantine: The Loners
Title: The Loners (Goodreads | Facebook)
Author: Lex Thomas (Blog | Twitter)
Series: Quarantine#1
Publisher: EgmontUSA
Publication Date: July 10th 2012
Rating: 2/5 Noodles
Source: from publisher via netgalley
Purchase: Amazon | The Book Depository

From Goodreads:
It was just another ordinary day at McKinley High—until a massive explosion devastated the school. When loner David Thorpe tried to help his English teacher to safety, the teacher convulsed and died right in front of him. And that was just the beginning.

A year later, McKinley has descended into chaos. All the students are infected with a virus that makes them deadly to adults. The school is under military quarantine. The teachers are gone. Violent gangs have formed based on high school social cliques. Without a gang, you’re as good as dead. And David has no gang. It’s just him and his little brother, Will, against the whole school.

In this frighteningly dark and captivating novel, Lex Thomas locks readers inside a school where kids don’t fight to be popular, they fight to stay alive.
****
The virus thingy in this book makes me go want to read it. But unfortunately, the book is boring. Nothing special in the book and the characters aren't that awesome. And wait, where are the zombies in this book? :(

First of all, the gangs. The different gangs remind me of the factions in Divergent. Like in Divergent, the gangs reflect the character or the trait of a specific person. Dauntless, Amity, Abnegation, Erudite and Candor for Divergent and Sluts, Pretty Ones, Skaters, Geeks, Nerds, Freaks,Varsity and Loners for this book. And I like the idea of that gangs.

According to Goodreads, this novel is a zombie novel. I'm a fan of zombie novels, and I really love reading them, and that's why I'm so excited to read this book. But wait, I don't know where the zombies go. I didn't find any single zombie in this book. Maybe Sam is the zombie? But I don't think so. Haha. Maybe the zombies are in the next book? Lol.

Characters, let's start with David. I don't like him at first, but as the story goes on he became a good brother and a great leader and I admire him for that. But there are moments that I can't connect with him. Sometime he made some decisions that really annoy me. Will really annoy me at first. David is doing all his best to keep him alive, but Will didn't appreciate it. He is envy or jealous of all the things that David done, for all of David's achievements. But at the end I really like him. He did everything to protect David from the virus and from that Sam (the annoying varsity boy).

If you want a love triangle story, you should check this out. Love in the midst of hard life inside the school. The usual love triangle, The usual love triangle, Will loves Lucy, but Lucy loves David. I'm annoyed with this kind of love triangle, maybe because love isn't for me.

The story is quite unique. It's my first time to read a dystopian book that is set in school. Plus point for that idea, haha. There are parts where the pacing is slowed and there are some parts that it became fast paced (I think in last few chapters -,-).

In a nutshell, the book was okay. I didn't enjoy it that much. I kept reading this book because of that zombies that didn't exist in the book. How I wish the zombies will exist in the next book. Lol. The ending is such a cliffhanger! And I will read the next book, and I hope it's better.

Cover comments: I really liked the cover. It is creepy and mysterious. 4 awesome noodles for the cover, but not for the book. Lol.

Series: Darkness Falls #2
Publisher: Curiosity Quills Press

From Goodreads:
“Hello, Katriona.”

Those two words spark fear in Katriona Wilde and give way to an unlikely partnership with Perth, the man she’s been traded to marry for a favor. Saving her true love and protector Arland, her family, and their soldiers keeps her motivated, but the at-odds duo soon realizes trust is something that comes and goes with each breath of Encardia’s rotting, stagnant air. The moment when concern for her missing sister spirals out of control, all thoughts of trust are pushed aside and she finds herself trapped by the daemon tricks Perth warned her of.

However, rescuing those she loves is only half the problem.

Kate still must get to Willow Falls, unite her clashing people, and form an army prepared to fight in order to defeat Darkness. When so many she’s grown fond of die along the journey, her ability to play by the gods’ rules is tested.

How will she make allies when the world appears stacked against her? And will she still be Katriona Wilde, the girl with fire?
****
My review of Wilde's Fire (Darkness Falls #1)
This is better than the first book and the characters became stronger. More action and magic and great story. I really enjoyed reading this book. :D

The characters became stronger, especially Kate. She has the confidence now to control her magic, and she became more powerful. I really liked about her is her magic, her magic is so powerful that can kill hundreds of daemons. She didn't give up on protecting her family and her love. I really admire her when they were fighting with hundreds of daemons, and she was heavily wounded, but still she protects all the soldiers and children. I really admire her for doing that thing. But still there were some moments that she annoyed me.

Arland became stronger, but became a little weak also. Weak because he blames himself when something bad happens to Kate. Still, he became stronger character. He was willing to fight anything for Encardia, for children, for his family and especially for his love. He was willing to put a distance between him and Kate just for the safety of Kate. I admire him for doing that thing.

It was sad when Flanna became sad. In the first book, she was the one who put color and fun in the novel, but here she became sad and lonely.I understand her feeling, and it's really hard when someone important to you died. Oh, Brit! I really loved Brit, and I'm really happy that she already knew her prophecy. :D

Still, the world was really awesome and interesting. I really loved the sprites, they always amaze me. Sprites and daemons were great idea. The different colors of flames that shows how powerful the person is was awesome and that was my favorite part.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm really happy that the characters became stronger and I had a connection with them. The ending was a super cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next book, and I want to know what will happen to Kate and Arland and the company. I want to know what will happen to that Dughbal. I'm really excited to read the next book! :D

The cover is really beautiful. I like the army in the background and Kate and Arland in front. Kate and Arland were like instructing and leading the army.

From Goodreads:
“There is no pain in this death, only peace, knowing I am going to die with the one I love the most.”—Katriona Wilde.

Katriona Wilde has never wondered what it would feel like to have everything she’s ever known and loved ripped away, but she is about to find out. When she inadvertently leads her sister and best friend through a portal into a world she’s dreamed of for six years, she finds herself faced with more than just the frightening creatures in front of her.

Kate’s forced to accept a new truth: her entire life has been a lie, and those closest to her have betrayed her. What’s worse, she has no control over her new future, and it’s full of magic and horrors from which nightmares are made.

Will Kate discover and learn to control who she really is in time to save the ones she loves, or will all be lost?
****
Oh, portals. When I read the portal thingy in the synopsis, I already expect too much. Unfortunately, this book didn't reach my expectations. I know it's not good to have expectations, but I can't stop myself from expecting too much from this book. I've heard many good things about this one and I really loved reading fantasy novels. I wished the book was better.

First of all, characters. Kate was half annoying and half awesome. Annoying because it doesn't matter to her if she was sharing a bed with a boy. First impression about that is that Kate is a whore. Lol. It's okay to share a bed with a boy, but when she invited Arland to take a bath together, oh gahd. Awesome because of the magic she possessed. And because she was willing to do anything for Arland and to protect the Encardia. She was really amazing when she had a fight with hundreds of daemons. Hands up for her for protecting her world and Arland.

Arland was a good character. He was willing to do anything to protect his world and his people, like Kate. His strong leadership and his love for his world and peoples was really admirable. I wish all the leaders here in our world is as good as Arland.

Secondary characters were awesome except for Brad. I really loved Flanna, Cadman, Anna, Marcus and Brit. For me, the novel will be boring if they were not here. I think Flanna was my most favorite characters. Ahaha!

The world that the author created was interesting. Sprites and daemons were really great. I liked the idea of Kate and Arland glowing with different colors of fire to show how strong they were. It's one thing that I liked in this novel. The story was wonderful and interesting, but it moved so slow.

Overall, I liked the book. Great story, but not so good characters. Interesting world and ideas. I hated and loved this book at the same time. There were moments that I'm annoyed and moments that I really enjoyed. Fantasy and romance fans, you should check this out.

Book Review: Intangible

Intangible
Title: Intangible (Goodreads)
Author: J. Meyers (Website | Blog | Twitter | Facebook)
Series: Intangible #1
Rating: 4/5 Noodles
Source: From author

From Goodreads:
Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they’ve helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.

Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they’ve always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can’t do anything about it.

****
When I read the synopsis of this book, I know that it will be awesome. And after I read the book, it's really awesome. This is my first time to read a book where elves and vampires are in one book. The world that J. Meyers created was really unique and amazing.

Luke and Sera are really awesome characters. Sera is a healer and Luke is a Seer. Luke is an incredible character. He's really determined to protect his sister from dangers. Sera is an incredible character, too. She wants to protect her family, especially her brother. But sometimes Sera is kind of annoying when it comes to Marc. When Luke and Sera were together, no one can beat their connection to each other. Their love for each other. While I'm reading this, I always thought what if I had a twin? Would we get along as Sera and Luke do? It's really sad to be only child. XD

Secondary characters are really awesome, too. Jonas and Fey are the protectors of the twin. She's one of Sera and Luke's closest friend. Fey always protect the twin since they are born. And Jonas is an unexpected ally. I thought that Jonas was the main villain in the story, but he's not. He's willing to do anything just to protect Sera and Luke. I want to have a friend like Fey and Jonas. How I wish I can find someone like them.

The world, the writing, and the story are really amazing. A world with gifted children, vampires, elves, faeries and goblins is really awesome. What can you ask more? The book is in third person, but I think it will be great if the POV will focus on Sera and Luke or have the POV of Luke and Sera like Across the Universe. Oh, it's just my opinion. XD

Overall, the book is simply awesome. I will certainly reading the next book, especially because I have many questions in my head. And also because the ending left me with a huge cliffhanger. I'm really excited to read the next book. Hey, fantasy fans there you should read this awesome book! :D

*Thank you very much, J. Meyers for providing me a copy of this book. :)*

Book Review: The Other Life

The Weepers: The Other Life
Title: The Other Life (Goodreads)
Author: Susanne Winnacker (Website | Blog | FB | Twitter)
Series: The Other Life #1
Publisher: Marshall Cavendish
Published date: May 15th 2012
Source: Netgalley
Rating: 3.5/5 Noodles

From Goodreads:
3 years, 1 month, 1 week and 6 days since I’d seen daylight. One-fifth of my life.

Sherry and her family have lived sealed in a bunker in the garden since things went wrong up above. Her grandfather has been in the freezer for the last three months, her parents are at each other’s throats and two minutes ago they ran out of food.

Sherry and her father leave the safety of the bunker and find a devastated and empty LA, smashed to pieces by bombs and haunted by ‘Weepers’ - rabid humans infected with a weaponized rabies virus.

While searching for food in a supermarket, Sherry’s father disappears and Sherry is saved by Joshua, a boy-hunter. He takes her to Safe-haven, a tumble-down vineyard in the hills outside LA, where a handful of other survivors are picking up the pieces of their ‘other lives’. As she falls in love for the first time, Sherry must save her father, stay alive and keep Joshua safe when his desire for vengeance threatens them all.
****
When I read the synopsis, I noticed that it's similar to Shatter Me. You know, counting of years, months, weeks and days. The idea of being locked up in bunker is like the idea in Shatter Me. Yes, it's kinda similar to Shatter Me, but Sherry is different to Juliette. The Other Life is really good book.

The Weepers is not like the other zombies in other books. The Weepers are intelligent and some of them are like humans, but some of them are like beasts. The zombies here are different from the usual zombie you know. For me, the zombies here are creepier than the other books. Why Weepers? It's because the zombies here is like crying, they are like weeping.

Let's move on with characters, Sherry is not that awesome protagonist. She's good but plain. Sometimes, she's annoying because she felt sorry for killing zombie that almost killed her and her family. I don't know why she's like that. Joshua is better character than Sherry. He's strong, and he's willing to do anything just to protect his friends. Other characters are too plain.

The story is very good. The world in this book is really great. I like the idea of author to include some stories before starting a new chapter. The story is from a world before the Weepers exist. And I really love how the author put the big revelation before the end. That revelations made me want to read more.

Overall, the book is really great, but it's really sad because the book is too short. Hey, zombie fans you should check this out! I think you will enjoy this one.

Oh, wait! Look at that cover! Who's that person running? Is it Joshua? Hmm.. What do you think? XD
My actual rating is 3.5, but I rounded it off and gave it 4/5 instead. XD

Book Review: Partials

Partials (Partials, #1)
Title: Partials (Goodreads)
Author: Dan Wells (Website | Twitter)
Series: Partials #1
Publisher: HarperCollins
Published date: March 1st 2012
Pages: 470 pages
Format: Paperback
Rating: 4/5 Noodles

From Goodreads:
The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials—engineered organic beings identical to humans—has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.

Kira, a sixteen-year-old medic-in-training, is on the front lines of this battle, seeing RM ravage the community while mandatory pregnancy laws have pushed what’s left of humanity to the brink of civil war, and she’s not content to stand by and watch. But as she makes a desperate decision to save the last of her race, she will find that the survival of humans and Partials alike rests in her attempts to uncover the connections between them—connections that humanity has forgotten, or perhaps never even knew were there.

Dan Wells, acclaimed author of I Am Not a Serial Killer, takes readers on a pulsepounding journey into a world where the very concept of what it means to be human is in question—one where our humanity is both our greatest liability and our only hope for survival.
****
It's really hard to write a review if the book is really great. Sitting in front of my computer, think what to say about this awesome book. Honestly, I bought this book because I can't find a copy of Insurgent. Yes, my money for that time is for Insurgent, but I'm really happy that I bought this book because it's a great book.

Dan Wells made a really great dystopian world. A world where babies don't survive because of a virus. A world where 99% of population gone. A world where there's a determined girl named Kira. A girl who's willing to do anything to save her world.

First of all, the characters. Kira is a really great protagonist. Her determination on saving the baby of her adopted sister, Madison and not only Madison's but all the babies made her a great character, a hero. I also like Marcus because he's willing to help Kira, but at first he didn't support Kira's decision and he's funny. I just hate Haru. He's so confident, and I don't know I just hate him. XD

I really enjoy the 'science touch' of Partials (Science is my favorite subject, especially Biology). But there are some moments that the 'science touch' made me crazy (lol!) but it's really amazing.

The ending almost kill me. The twist and everything about it made me crazy. Gahd, I can't wait to read the next book. I'm really curious what will happen to Kira and Marcus. Oh, book 2 please answer all my questions.
Favorite Quotes:
“Happiness is the most natural thing in the world when you have it, and the slowest, strangest, most impossible thing when you don't. It's like learning a foreign language: You can think about the words all you want, but you'll never be able to speak it until you suck up your courage and say them out loud.”
“Each life has a different purpose, and some people can find their purpose more easily than others. The key, the most important thing you can ever know, is that whatever your purpose is, that's not your only choice"
"No matter why you're here, no matter why any of us are here, you're never tied down to fate. You're never locked in. You make your own choices, Kira, and you can't let anyone ever take that away from you.”
“I am stronger than my trials.”
“Life comes from death, and weakness teaches us strength.”

Oh, look at that super awesome trailer. :))

Book Review: Fire Study

Fire Study (Study, #3)
Title: Fire Study (Goodreads | Website)
Author: Maria Snyder (Website | Blog | Facebook)
Series: Study #3
Publisher: Mira Books
Published date: January 16th 2009
Pages: 441 pages
Format: Paperback
Rating: 5/5 Noodles

From Goodreads:
The apprenticeship is over
Now the real test has begun

When word that Yelena is a Soulfinder — able to capture and release souls—spreads like wildfire, people grow uneasy. Already Yelena's unusual abilities and past have set her apart. As the Council debates Yelena's fate, she receives a disturbing message: a plot is rising against her homeland, led by a murderous sorcerer she has defeated before.…

Honor sets Yelena on a path that will test the limits of her skills, and the hope of reuniting with her beloved spurs her onward. Her journey is fraught with allies, enemies, lovers and would-be assassins, each of questionable loyalty. Yelena will have but one chance to prove herself—and save the land she holds dear.
This book is action packed! Adventures? Check! Magic? Check! Great characters? Check! Romance? Check! Villains? Check! This is better than Poison Study and Magic Study. This is awesome!

Characters are still awesome. Snyder did a great job in making the characters better without changing their personalities. Yelena is braver and smarter in this book. Valek is still awesome. Yelena plus Valek equals awesomeness.

This book is full of twists. While reading this you'll be shocked because of the revelations of different characters and everything. There's no dull moment in this book. Oh,  thank you so much, Snyder for making this awesome series.

This is awesome book. This is a kind of book that will stay in my mind and heart forever. This really deserves a 5 out of 5 noodles. I will read the Glass Series by Maria Snyder soon. I hope it's good as this series or better. :))
Favorite Quotes:

Series: The Celestine Chronicles #1
Publisher: Tanglewood Press
Published date: May 15th 2012
Pages: 359 pages
Format: E-arc from Netgalley
Rating: 4/5 Noodles

From Goodreads:
The annual Great Quest is about to be announced in Quendel, a task that will determine the future of Marcus and the other boys from the village who are coming of age. The wizard Zyll commands them to find the Rock of Ivanore, but he doesn't tell them what the Rock is exactly or where it can be found. Marcus must reach deep within himself to develop new powers of magic and find the strength to survive the wild lands and fierce enemies he encounters as he searches for the illusive Rock. If he succeeds, he will live a life of honor; if he fails, he will live a life of menial labor in shame. With more twists and turns than a labyrinth, and a story in which nothing is as it seems, this tale of deception and discovery keeps readers in suspense until the end.

Middle readers will find that The Rock of Ivanore fits nicely among the traditional fantasies they so enjoy. They will also appreciate its fresh and inventive take on the genre.
****
I really enjoyed this awesome book. This is really awesome.

First of all, the characters are really great. Marcus and the company was very likeable. Each of them has their own great personality. Xerxes was really unique character, for me. I think the best character was Bryn. I almost cried when he sacrificed his own life for his friends. Oh. :(

Writing style was really great. The story is full of adventure. Adventures started from first page and end in the last page. Swords, magic, dragons, oh my! I really enjoyed this book.

Overall, this book is really awesome. The ending was really unexpected, Laurisa Reyes pulled a great twist in the end. I'm really happy that they include the excerpt from book 2. I can't wait to read the book 2. :))
Favorite Quotes:
"Kelvin held out his hand to Bryn, but Bryn did not take it. For a moment Kelvin hesitated, not knowing how to respond should his apology be rejected. But when Bryn stepped forward and embraced him, it was clear that Kelvin had been forgiven."

Book Review: Magic Study

Magic Study
Title: Magic Study (Goodreads | Website)
Author: Maria Snyder (Website | Blog | Facebook)
Series: Study #2
Publisher: Mira Books
Published date: May 16th 2008
Pages: 419 pages
Format: Paperback
Rating: 5/5 Noodles

From Goodreads:
You know your life is bad when you miss your days as a poison taster...

With an execution order on her head, Yelena has no choice but to escape to Sitia, the land of her birth. With only a year to master her magic - or face death - Yelena must begin her apprenticeship and travels to the Four Towers of the Magician's Keep.

But nothing in Sitia is familiar. Not the family to whom she is a stranger. Not the unsettling new facets of her magic. Nor the brother who resents her return. As she struggles to understand where she belongs and how to control her rare powers, a rogue magician emerges - and Yelena catches his eye.

Suddenly she is embroiled in battle of good against evil. And once again it will be her magical abilities that will either save her life...or be her downfall.
In Magic Study, Yelena arrives in the Zaltana Homestead to be reunited with her family. Being with her family is not easy as ABC, not all of her family accepted her. Her brother, Leif, accuse her that she's an Ixian spy and that's why the other clan members kinda hate her. Magic Study follows Yelena's journey to Citadel to learn her magical abilities. This book is not only about magic and adventures. It also shows to readers how important family is.

Firstly, Yelena didn't change. She's still strong and brave. I admire her because of her willingness to help Tula and Opal. Valek is awesome in different ways: (1) the way he disguised himself as another person and no one recognized him except Yelena. (2) The way he sneaked into Yelena's room. (3) Lastly, the way he pop in and pop out where Yelena is. Oh btw, Kiki is my favorite character. XD

The story is well-made! The magic, the soul stealing and other strange magical abilities make the book better and fun to read.

Overall, this book is better than first! Full of twists and revelations. Full of awesome characters. Full of awesome magic tricks. Full of awesome horses (LOL!). Hey, Snyder! I want to tell you that you made a perfect book. This is another great book I've ever read. This really deserves a 5 noodles rating!
Favorite Quotes:
“Living is a risk," I snapped at him. "Every decision, every interaction, every step, every time you get out of bed in the morning, you take a risk. To survive is to know you're taking that risk and to not get out of bed clutching illusions of safety.”
“When I carved this, my thoughts were on you, love. Your life is like this snake's coils. No matter how many turns it makes, you'll end up back where you belong. With me.”
“Don't feel ashamed for having those feelings and those memories. What happened in the past can't be changed, but they can be a guide for what happens in the future.”

A quick death
Or slow poison...

Yelena has a choice – be executed for murder, or become food taster to the Commander of Ixia. She leaps at the chance for survival, but her relief may be short-lived.

Life in the palace is full of hazards and secrets. Wily and smart, Yelena must learn to identify poisons before they kill her, recognise whom she can trust and how to spy on those she can’t. And who is the mysterious Southern sorceress who can reach into her head?

When Yelena realises she has extraordinary powers of her own, she faces a whole new problem, for using magic in Ixia is punishable by death...
Poison Study is one of the best YA book I've ever read. This is awesome.

First of all, I love Yelena because she's like Katniss. She's strong and brave. Yelena is only one of the great characters in this book. There is Valek, who can fight 3 people even if he's drunk, Valek who killed many people. Valek is a great character because he's strong person but you can see his soft side. Ari and Janco are my favorite secondary characters. They are the one who teach Yelena how to become strong. Snyder is awesome to make this kind of characters. Oh, I hate Margg, by the way.

The story is unique, great and well-made. Full of secrets, revelations and twists. The book is addicting, if you started to read the book, it's hard to stop. The story of commander is really unique for me. I must say this book is really great.

Overall, this book is really awesome. My actual rating is 4.5, but I rounded it off and gave it 5/5 instead, hahaha. You should read this book!

From Goodreads:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
****
My actual rating is 3.5 noodles out of 5, but I rounded it off and gave it a 4 of 5 noodles instead, haha

Honestly, I got bored reading this book. First few chapters of this book is really boring but when the person in ski mask appeared, oh my I can't stop reading. I can't stop reading this because I want to know who's the person behind that ski mask. As the story goes along, more secrets were revealed and more twists and everything. That twists and revelations made this book interesting.

Characters were not that awesome. Nora is weak. Patch isn't great guy. Vee is the only person I like, haha! I like Vee because of her humor. The other characters are weak and evil.

Overall, I enjoy this book because the story is good and original. I'm little disappointed with the characters and with the ending. The ending is not a cliffhanger but it's full of romance, hihihi! Angels plus mystery equals great story. I'm looking forward to read the next book, can't wait to read it. :)

From Goodreads:
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves… or it might destroy her.

Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.

If you love the Hunger Games Trilogy, then you should read this.

This book is really unique. The idea of different factions is new to me. I've never read any book with that idea. The idea of having different personality in each faction is unique. Each faction had different roles in the society (eg., Abnegation for government). My favorite faction is Amity, I like to live in this world peacefully like Amity. I think I can't live in Abnegation because they're so selfless. Hahaha. You can't talk while having dinner in Abnegation, I can't do that, I'm so talkative. Hahaha.

Characters are simply awesome. Let's start with Tris. Tris was another bad-ass character. She stands for what is right. She fights for what she believes. She faces all the challenges that were given to her. She can do anything, even it's dangerous, for her friends, for her loved ones. Four is another awesome character. He was strong, and he can do everything for Tris. I also liked Uriah. He was so funny, and he makes me smile if he's on the scene. I wish he had a little romance with Tris. Hahaha

The plot was unpredictable. When you start reading, you can't stop reading the next page, you will be shocked that you started reading on page 1, and you end reading on page 100. And the ending was perfect. You will end up reading with so many questions on your head and that questions will be answered after reading Insurgent.

Overall, Divergent was a perfect novel. Breathtaking . Phenomenal. Perfect romance. All positive adjectives can describe this novel. If you haven't read this yet, I think you should run to your nearest bookstore and buy a copy of this book. :)
